Signs your window regulator or motor is failing

Regulator, motor or switch: what’s actually broken
The regulator is the track and cable or arm mechanism inside the door that lifts the glass. The motor drives it. Many newer vehicles sell them as one assembly. A bad switch or wiring can look like a dead motor, so we check before we order parts, and you only pay for what’s actually needed.
How the repair works
Our technician removes the inner door panel, disconnects the old regulator and motor, and installs the new part. Then we re-attach and align the glass so it seats in the run channel and seals against the weatherstrip, test it top to bottom, and put the panel back on. Most jobs are done in one visit once the part is on hand.

Window stuck open? Call first
If the glass is stuck down, we can often get it up and secured while the new part is on order, so your vehicle isn’t left open. If the glass itself broke when the regulator failed, we replace the door glass at the same time.
Is it covered by insurance?
Regulator and motor failures are usually wear and tear, which most auto insurance doesn’t cover. Broken glass from a break-in or road debris often is covered. Tell us what happened and we’ll tell you honestly which applies. You get the price before any work starts.
